Chap. 272.—An ACT to authorize the Mechanicsville Turnpike Company
to borrow Money.
Passed Jamiary 12, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the Me-
chaniesville turnpike company be and they are hereby autho:
rized to borrow, from time to time, such sums of money as
the exigencies of the company may require, for the purpose
of repairing and improving their turnpike road, by issuing
and disposing of the bonds of the said company to an amount
not exceeding ten thousand dollars in the aggregate, on such
terms and at such rate of interest as may be fixed by the an-
thorized officials of said company.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
