Chap. 268.—An ACT to incorporate the Virginia Steam Sugar Refining
Colipany,
Passed February 14, 1960.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Charles Y.
Morriss, i. S. Hammond, James Hf. Wheatley, Abner F. Har-
vey, Wellington Goddin, W. 1. Isaacs, and such others as
may hereatter be associated with them, be and are hereby in-
corporated and made a body politic, under the name and
style of The Virginia Steam Sugar Refining Company, in the
county of Ilenrico and eity of Richmond; for the purpose
of refining sugar, manwacturing candy, and of importing
material and machinery for that purpose; and said company
shall be invested with all the rights, powers and privileges
conferred, and be subject to all rules, regulations aud restric-
tions imposed by the Code of Virginia, in relation to joint
stock companies.
2. ‘Lhe capital stock of said company shall not be less than
two hundred thousand dollars nor more than one million of
dollars, to be divided into shares of one hundred dollars
each; and the said company shall have the right to purchase
and hold lands and wharves in said county of Ilenrico and
city of Richmond, not exceeding ten acres, and to purchase
and hold vessels for their importations ; subject to amend-
ment, alteration or moditication, at the pleasure of the gene-
ral assembly.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
