Chap. 267.—An ACT to incorporate the Virginia White Lead, Paint and
Oil Company.
Passed January 25, 1866.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That William
Horner, Nathaniel Tyler, A. J. Marshall, and such other per-
sons as may hereatter be associated with them, shall be and
they are hereby incorporated and made a body corporate and
yolitie, by the name and style of The Virginia White Lead.
Paint and Oil Company; for the purpose of manufacturing
paints aid oils, at some point or points on the James river
and Kanawha canal; and they are hereby invested with all
the rights, powers and privileges conterred on such bodies
politic and corporate in relation to joint stock companies and
corporations generally, and be subject to all the rules, regu-
lations and restrictions contained in the Cod@of Virginia.
and any law amendatory thereof, excepting where the same
may be inconsistent with the provisions of this aet.
2. That the capital stock of said company shall not be less
than fifty thousand dollars nor more than five hundred thou-
sand dollars, to be divided into shares of one hundred dollars
each,
3. That said company shall have power to purchase and
hold lands near to and attached to their place of manutacture,
not exeeeding five hundred aeres.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall be
subject to amendment, alteration or modification, at the
pleasure of the general assembly.
