Chap. 261.—An ACT relating to the Manchester Cotton and Wool Manu-
- facturing Company, and extending the duration of the Charter of the
Bae,
Passed Deeeimber 717, 1865.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the Man-
chester cotton and wool manufacturing company are hereby
authorized to borrow, on the credit of said) company, any
sum of money not exceeding fifty thousand dollars, at: such
rate of interest as the parties contracting may adopt, without
regard to the rate now prescribed by law.
2. That said company shall hereafter be subject to all the
provisions and liabilities Imposed, and enjoy all the rights
and privileges conferred by the operation of existing general
laws relating to chartered companies. as fim as applicable and
consistent with the charter thereof,
3. That the charter of said company, limited te expire on
the fourteenth ot January. eiehteen DPundred and sixty-ciy.
years from the said fourteenth of January, eighteen hundred
and sixty-six. .
4. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall be
subject to modification or repeal, at the pleasure of the gene-
ral assembly.
