Chap. 250.—An ACT to revise and amend the Charter of the Glendower
Mining Company,
Passed March 3, 1863.
Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the act passed
March the first, cichteen hundred and fifty-six, entitled an
acteto revive and amend the charter of the Glendower
mining company, be revived, re-enacted and amended so as
to read as follows:
“J. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Julia
Lavinia Wooldridge, with such other persons, not fewer than
tive, as may be associated with her, shall be and are hereby
incorporated and made a body politic and corporate, under
the name and style of The Glendower Mining Company; to
search for, mine, transport and vend coal and. ‘other minerals ;
subject to the provisions of the Code of Virginia.
«2, The capital stock of said company shall not be less
than thirty thousand dollars nor more than five hundred
thousand ‘dollars, divided into shares of one hundred dollars
eavh: and the said company may, for the purpose of this act,
purchase and hold land in the counties of Chesterfield and
Powhatan, not exceeding five thousand acres.
“3. This act shall be in force from its passage.”
