Chap. 237.—An ACT to incorporate the Atlechany Tron and Manufac-
turing Company.
Passed January 26, 1866,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Charles M.
Wheatly, Tohn Auspach, Jolin M. Bickel and Tlenry S. Paul,
and such others as may hereatier be assoeiated with them,
not less than eighteen, be and are hereby incorporated and
made a body politie, under the name and style of The Alle-
ehany Iron Mining and Manufaeturing Company. in the coun-
ties of Bath and Allechany; for the purpose of mining and
manulacturing iron and other mineral substances; and the
sail company shall be invested with all the mehts, powers
and privileges conferred, and be subject to all the rules, regn-
lations and restrictions Nmposed by the Code of Virginia, in
relation to joint stock companies.
2. Be it further enaeted, That the eapital stock of said
company shall not be less than one hundred thousand dollars
nor more than two millions of dollars, to be divided into
shares of one hundred dollars each; and the said company
shall have the right to purchase and hold lands in said coun-
ties, not exceeding twenty thousand acres.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall be
subject to any amendment, alteration or modification, at the
pleasure of the general assembly.
