Chap. 224.—An ACT incorporating the Bath Tron Mining and Manufac-
eine Company in the Counties of Bath and Alleghany,
Passed February 21, 1866.

1. Be it enatted by the general assembly, That William
Skeen, Ira F. Jordan, Andrew Fudge, John H. Oliver, Or-
ville T. Rogers, J oseph Rt. Anderson, Robert Archer, John
F. Tanner, ‘Samuel C. Robinson and Robert Skeen, and such
other persons as may be hereatter associated with them, not
less than twelve, be and they are hereby incorporated and
made a body politic, under the name and style of The Bath
Iron Mining and Manufacturing Company, in the counties of
Alleghany and Bath; for the purpose of mining and manu-
facturing iron and other mincral substances: and the said
company shall be invested with all the rights, powers and
privileges conferred, and be subject to all the rules, regula-
tions and restrictions imposed by the Code of Virginia, in
relation to joint stock companies.
2, Be it turther enacted, That the eapital stock of the said
company shall not be less than one hundred thousand dollars
nor more than two millions of dollars, to be divided into
shares of one hundred dollars each: and the said company
shall have the right to purchase and hold Jands in said coun-
ties, not exceeding twenty thousand acres.
3. This act shall be in force trom its passage, and shall he
subject to modification, amendment or repeal, at the pleasure
of the general assembly.
