Chap. 223.—An ACT to authorize the York River Railroad Company to
borrow Money.
Passed December 20, 1865,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the Richmond and York river railroad company ‘be and are
hereby authorized to borrow, from time to time, such sums
of money, not exceeding three hundred thousand dollars, by
an issue and sale of mortgage bonds of said company, for
such an amount, and bearing such rate of interest as the
president and directors may direct, and may think necessary
tor the reconstruction, completion and equipment of the rail-
road of said company.
2. This act shall be in force from the passage thereof.
