Chap. 222.—An ACT to authorize the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad
Company to borrow Mouey.
Passed January 19, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the president and directors of the Vir ginia and
Tennessee railroad company to issue the bonds of said.com-
pany, in such form and at such rate of interest as to them
may seem expedient, to an amount not exceeding four hun-
dred thousand dollars, for the purpose of rebuilding and
equipping said railroad.
2. Be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for the
president and directors of said company to issue bonds, in
such form and bearing such rate of interest as may be deemed
by them expedient, to the amount of six hundred thousand
dollars, for the payment, and in lieu of other bonds and
coupons, now due and unpaid by said company.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
