Chap. 215.—An ACT to authorize the Richmond and Danville Railroad
Company to secure certain Habilities to. be incurred by the Piedmont
Railroad Company.
Passed January 10, 1866,
Whereas it may be necessary for the Piedmont railroad r
company, In order to equip its road, to borrow a sum of
money not exceeding three hundred thousand dollars, on
such terms and at such rate of interest as may be prescribed
by the president and directors of said company: Now, for
the purpose of facilitating such loan,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the Rich- 4
mond and Danyille railroad company be and it is hereby &
authorized to endorse the notes, guarantee the bonds, or*
otherwise secure the debts of said Piedmont railroad company
to be incurred as aforesaid, in such manner as the president
aud directors of the said Richmond and Danville railroad
company may determine.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. c
