Chap. 214.—An ACT authorizing the Midlothian Coal Mining Company
to construet a Railroad to James River , from their Coal Mines in Ches-
terfield County,
Passcd Marel 35, 1866,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That the Mid-
lothian coal mining company be and they are hereby author-
ized to construct a railroad trom their coal mines in Chester-
field county to some convenient point on James river, between
Bermuda Hundred and the town of Manchester, in said
county, for the purpose of transporting coal and other articles
incident to their mining operations.
2. That the said company be allowed five years to begin
the construction of said railroad.
3. That the said company, in relation to the road hereby
authorized, shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges,
and subject to all the restrictions and liabilities provided by
the Code of Virginia in regard to railroad companies, as far
as applicable. \
This act shall be in force from its passage.
