Chap. 175.—An ACT to authorize the County Court of Washington
County to borrow a sum of Money.
Passed January 17, 1566.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the county
court of Washington county, all the justices thereof being
first summoned, and a majority thereof being present, is
hereby authorized to borrow a sum of money, not exceeding
the sum of seven thousand dollars, for the purpose of re-
building the jail of said county: and the said county is hereby
authorized to issue the bonds of the said county therefor,
upon such terms as may be agreed on by said court.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
