Chap. 174.—An ACT to authorize the County Court of Washington Coun-
tv to sell the Stock owned by said County in the Virginia and Tennessee
Railroad Company.
Passed January 13, 1566.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the county court of Washington county, all the
justices of said county having been summoned for that pur-
pose, and a majority thereof being present and concurging
therein, to sell, upon such terms as the said court may direct.
the stock held by said county in the Virginia and Tennessce
railroad company, for the purpose of rebuilding the court-
house and jail of said county, or for other county purposes.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
