Chap. 153.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 25th section of the act
passed January 25th, 1806, entitled an act to amend the Charter of the
City of Alexandria,
Passed Murch 3, 1466.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That. the second
section of the act passed January the twenty-fifth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-six, to amend the charter of' the city ot
Alexandria, be re- enacted and amended so as to read a
follows:
“§2. Be it further enacted, That the first section of the
act to amend the twenty-second and fifth sections of the act
entitled an act to amend the charter of the city of Alexan-
dria, passed February the eighteenth, eighteen hundred and
fifty-three, be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
‘The limits of the city of Alexandria shall be as follows:
Beginning on the Potomac river, at a point distant northerly
in the direction of Fairfax street, five hundred and n'nety-
five feet nine inches from the north line of Montgomery
street, as now established in said city, and extended, into said
river; and running thence westerly and parallel with said
north line, to a point at which this course will intersect a line
one hundred and twenty-three feet five inches west of ard
running parallel to the western line of West street, as now
established, when extended; thence southerly, parallel with
West street, to the north line of Cameron street, as now es-
tablished; thence westerly in the direction of the north line
of Cameron street, extended, to a point in a line with the west
line of the lot of the late Francis Peyton, on which he re-
sided; thence southerly, parallel with West street, to the
south line of King street, extended; thence in a straight line
to a point in the line dividing the counties of Fairfax ard
Alexandria from each other, ten feet west of Hoof’s run;
thence southeasterly along said line, into the Potonac ri. er;
then up said river to the beginning.’” >
2. This act, shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 153.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 25th section of the act

Alexandria, be re- enacted and amended so as to read a
follows:

dria, passed February the eighteenth, eighteen hundred and
fifty-three, be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted
