Chap. 147.—An ACT in regard to the Printing of Acts of Private Incor-
poration,
Passed February 27, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That all joint
stock companies, other than railroad and canal companies,
making applications to the legislature for acts of incorpora-
tion, when bills for the pwrpose are reported by any com-
mittee of either house, shall, before any final action be had
fthereon, cause to be printed, at the expense of the company
making. such application, a copy of such bill for every mem-
ber of each house.
2. That the clerk of the house of delegates, in publishing
the Acts of the general assembly, shall publish only a synopsis
or brief abstract of all acts ‘Incorporating any company except
railroad and canal companies, unless such company shall bind
itself, by bond with approved security, for the payment of
the cost of such publication in full.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
