Chap. 132.-An ACT extending the Time for Rebuilding or Repairing
any Mills, Manufactory, Machine or Engine destroyed by Fire, or which
may have become unfit for use during the late Civil War.
Passed February 19, 1866.
1. Be it enacted, That the owner or tenant of any mill, mill
dam, toll bridge, manufacturing machine or engine, which
may have been destroyed by fire or otherwise, or have be-
come unfit for use, during the late civil war, shall have three
years from the passage of this act, in which to begin, and six
years in which to finish the rebuilding or repair of the same,
without. being suljected to the forfeitures provided by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
