Chap. 107.—An ACT to repeal the act passed June 22d, 1865, in relation
to the Salaries of certain Officers of Government. and to revive certain
sections of the Code repealed by said act.
Passed February 28, 1860,
‘1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the act
passed June twenty-second, eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
entitled an act to amend and re-enact the first, second, third,
fourth and fifth sections of the fourteenth chapter of the
Code (edition of eighteen hundred and sixty), and for other
purposes, be and the same is hereby repealed.
2. Be it further enacted, That the first, second, third, fourth
and fifth sections of chapter fourteen of the Code (edition of
eighteen hundred and sixty) are hereby revived, amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows
“$1. The several officers hereinatter mentioned shall re-
ceive annually the following sums; that Is to say:
In the executive department.
The governor, the sum of five thousand dollars. The
secretary of the commonwealth, eighteen hundred dollars.
The assistant clerk, one thousand dollars ; and the copying
clerk, nine hundr ed. dollars.”
In the office of the auditor of public accounts.
“$2. The auditor of public accounts, the sum of three
thousand dollars; but all tees of office accruing to the auditor,
shall be paid into the treasur y. The clerk of accounts, two
thousand dollars. ‘The first clerk, fifteen hundred dollars.
The second, third and fourth clerks, each, the sum of nine
hundred dollars.”

“§ 3. The first clerk, fifteen hundred dollars. The second
clerk, nine hundred’ dollars.”
In the treasurer's affice.
“$4. The treasurer, the sum of two thousand dollars.
The first clerk, tw elve hundred dollars. The second clerk,
nine hundred dollars.
In the land office.
“§ 5. The register of the land office, the sum of two thon-
3and dollars. ‘The first clerk in his office, eleven hundred
Jollars. The second clerk, seven hundred and fifty dollars.”
3. Be it further enacted, That in addition to the salary
now. allowed by law to the superintendent of public build-
ngs, he shall receive annually out of the treasury the sum of
-wo hundred and fifty dollars, payable as other salaries are
paid.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
