Chap. 105.—An ACT directing the Auditor of Public Aecoants to issue
his Warrant upon the Treasury in certain cases,
Passed January 50, 1966.
|. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of spublic accounts be directed to issue his warrant upon the
treasury, payable out of any moneys not otherwise appro-
priated, for such sum as shall be certified to him by the clerk
of the house of delegates as being due to any witness ex-
amined before the house in the cases of’ Messrs. Tyler, Cole-
man and Pollard. The clerk of the house of deleg: ates shall
not allow to any of said witnesses more than tour dollars per
day for the time he may have been detained in Richmond, in
attendance on said’ cases, nor more than ten cents per mile in
coming to Richmond and returning thence to his home; nor
shall the clerk be authorized to issue certificates to any wit-
nesses who were residents of the city of Richmond at the
time of said trials, nor to any member of the general assem-
bly who may have given evidence in said cases: provided,
that no witness or witnesses shall be paid who were sum-
moned to testify in behalf of any of the accused.
2. This act shall be in torce from its passage.
