Chap. 47.—An ACT to authorize the county school board of Nor-
thumberland county to use a portion of the county school fund for
the erection of school-houses in Lottsburg school district.

Approved January 30, 1888.

Whereas the maximum amount of ten cents on the one
hundred dollars valuation levied for district school purposes
in Lottsburg school district in Northumberland county is
insufficient to erect the necessary school-houses and furnish
the same: therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That.
the county school board of the county of Northumberland |
be, and is hereby authorized to apply the balance of county |
school funds now on hand in Lottsburg district in the said |
county, and one-half of the sum apportioned to said district
from the tax levied for county school purposes for the present
scholastic year to the erection of school-houses in the said
district.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage. }
