Chap. 308.—An ACT giving P. D. Divers, late treasurer of Franklin
county, and his deputies, power of levy and distress to collect cer-
tain uncollected tax-tickets now in his hands.

Whereas P. D. Divers, late treasurer of Franklin county,
has in his hands various tax-tickets for which he has ac-
counted to the state; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the said P. D. Divers, late treasurer as aforesaid, and his
deputies, shall have the same power of levy and distress as
is now possessed by treasurers under the revenue laws until
September first, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, to collect
the uncollected tax-tickets now in his hands for the years
eighteen hundred and eighty-two, eighteen hundred and
eighty-three, eighteen hundred and eighty-four, and eighteen
hundred and eighty-five.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
