Chap. 303.—An ACT for the relief of B.S. English, deputy treasurer
of Westmoreland county.

Whereas Benjamin S. English, deputy treasurer of West-
moreland county, has been unable to collect certain tax bills
in his hands, for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-four
and eighteen hundred and eighty-five, by reason of tax payers
having removed out of the county, and because two tracts of
land with which he is charged, have been incorporated with
larger tracts and charged to other persons who have paid
their taxes, the whole amount for which relief is sought for,
being the sum of forty-five dollars and ten cents; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
said English be and he is hereby allowed to present to the
board of supervisors of said county a new insolvent list em-
bracing the above amount, which said board may in their dis-
cretion allow, if they think said English is justly and rightly
entitled thereto under the law for returning insolvent taxes:
provided, that the action of the board of supervisors of said
county shall be submitted to the judge of the county court of
said county for his approval.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
