Chap. 294.—An ACT to extend the time for the collection of tax-tick-
ets in the hands of L. Wilson, J. P. Charlton, and A. O. Sullivan,
deputies of C. W. Sullivan, deceased, treasurer of Montgomery
county.

Whereas, L. Wilson, J. P. Charlton, and A. O. Sullivan,
deputies of C. W. Sullivan, deceased, treasurer of Montgomery
county, have in their hands various tickets for taxes and
levies, both state and county, for the years eighteen hundred
and eighty-two, three, four, and five inclusive, and said tick-
ets remain uncollected, but for which they have settled with
the county and state authorities; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That.
authority is hereby given L. Wilson, J. P. Charlton, and A. |
0. Sullivan, deputies of C. W. Sullivan, deceased, treasurer of
Montgomery county, to collect the amount due upon said
tickets for taxes and levies, and they shall have the power of
levy and distress for the same that treasurers now have un-
der the present laws, and that this power be extended for the
period of one year from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
