Chap. 271.—An ACT to provide for the purchase of certain property,
an additional improvement for the State Normal school, and to
make appropriation therefor.

Approved February 29, 1888.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of ten thousand dollars be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of any money in the treasury not other-
wise appropriated to the State Female Normal school, to be
expended, under the supervision of the board of trustees of
said school, in the purchase of a lot adjoining the property
of said school, known as the Melton lot, and making such
improvements and betterments, and purchagjng such furni-
ture, books, and other appliances, as may be needed.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
