Chap. 244.—An ACT granting the superintendent of any fair grounds
or cemetery the same powers as a constable for certain purposes in
such fair grounds or cemetery.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the superintendent or other person in charge of any fair
grounds, or any public or private cemetery, shall for the pur-
pose of maintaining order and enforcing the criminal and
police laws of the state, or the corporation in which said fair
grounds or cemetery is situated, have all the powers, func-
tions, duties, responsibilities, and authority of a constable
within the fair grounds or cemetery over which he may have
charge and within one-quarter of a mile around the same.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
