Chap. 8.—An ACTto amend and re-enact section one of an act ap-
proved February fifth, eighteen hundred and seventy-five en»
titled an act incorporating the trustees of the Diocesian Missionary
society.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section one of an act ap proved February fifth. eighteen bun-
dred and seventy-five, entitled an act incorporating the trus-
tees of the Diocesian Missionary society, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
€ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That John Jones, F. M. Whittle, George Woodbridge, Wil-
liam Norwood, Joshua Peterkin, Charles Minnegerode, C. J.
Gibson, T. G@. Dashiell, W.Q. Hyland, William F. Gray, David
N. Walker, A. T. Laidly, and their successors, be and they
are hereby constituted a body politic and corporate, by the
name and style of The Trustees of the Diocesian Missionar yv
Society of Virginia, and by that name shall have perpetual
succession and a common seal, may sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded; and for uses of said Diocesian Missionary
society, may receive and ac quire, by purchase, gift, or other-
wise, money or other personal property or real extate: pro-
vided that the estate so acquired shall not exceed two hun-
dred thousand dcllars.
This act shall be in force from its passage.
