Chap. 36.—An ACT to punish false pretence in obtaining registration
of cattle and other animals and to punish giving false pedigree.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
every person who by any talse pretence shall obtain from any
club, association, society, or Company for improving the
breed of cattle. horses, sheep, swine, or other domestic ani-
mals, the registration of any animal in the herd register or
other recister of any such club, association, society or com-
pany, ora transter of any such registration, and every person
who shall knowingly give a tulse pedigree of any animal, in
any or in either event. he shall be euilty of a misdemer nor,
and upon a conyvicuion thereof shall be punished by contine-
ment ina county orcity Jail for a period not exeeeding twelve
months or fined not exceeding five hundred dollars or both.
2. ‘This act shall be in force trom its passage.
