Chap. 209.—An ACT to protect the Crab industry of the common-
wealth.
Approved May 12, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be unlawtul for any person not a resident of the State
of Virginia, to catch crabs inthe waters of thiscommonwealth.
2. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof,
shall be fined not less than filty nor more than two hundred
and fifty dollars and imprisonment in the ananey jail not ex-
eecding threo months.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
