Chap. 93.—An ACT to authorize George N. Parker to erect a wharf
on Chuckatuck creek, in Nansemond county.
Approved February 8, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
George N. Parker, of the county of Nansemond, be and
he is hereby authorized to erect a wharf on his own water front
on the east side of Chuckatuck creek, near the mouth of said
creek, in the county of Nansemond, for the purpose of shipping
and receiving freight on or from vessels or steamers, and be
subject to all the laws of Virginia governing the erection of
wharves ; that said George N. Parker, his heirs or assigns,
shall have the right to charge such compensation for the use
of said wharf as may hereafter be agreed to between the owner
of said wharf and the shipper, or as are customary in the neigh-
borhood: and provided also, that said wharf shall not inter-
fere with the navigation of said creek, and that this act shall
at all times be subject to amendment or repeal at the pleasure
of the general assembly.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
