Chap. 88.—SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION to appoint Joint Com-
mittee to examine State securities, &c., deposited in the basement
offices of the capitol.
Approved February 8, 1886.
Resolved, by the senate (the house of delegates concurring),
That a committee of two on the part of the senate, and three
on the part of the house, be appointed to examine and report
touching all securities of the state, whether bonds, coupons or
otherwise, filed or deposited in the basement offices of the
capitol, and report the amount and condition of said several
classes of securities. For the proper execution of this work
said committee is empowered to employ one clerk, and, if need
be, two expert clerks. The compensation of any such clerk
not to exceed one hundred dollars per month. The committee
shall examine especially as to securities deposited since January
first, eighteen” hundred and eighty-one. As to securities de-
posited prior to that date, in the discretion of the committee.
