Chap. 7.—An ACT to empower the trustees of the district school-board
of Buchanan school district, Botetourt county, to use surplus county
- public school funds belonging to said district for the purpose of pur-
chasing or erecting buildings for school purposes.
In force December 21, 1885.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of trustees of the Buchanan school district of Bote-
tourt county, Virginia, be and it is hereby authorized and
empowered to devote and use any surplus county public school
funds belonging to said board now in ‘hand, or that may be in
hand within three years from the passage of this act, for the
purpose of purchasing or erecting public school-house buildings
in said district.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 8—JOINT RESOLUTION in regard to the sale of delinquent
ands.
Approved January 6, 1886.
Resolved (the house of delegates concurring), That the treas-
urers of the several counties and cities of this commonwealth
shall postpone all sales of delinquent lands now advertised by
them under the law approved March nineteenth, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-four, entitled “an act to
provide for the sale of lands delinquent for taxes and county
evies, for thirty days from the day on which said sales are
now advertised to be made, and shall post a notice of such post-
ponement for thirty days at the front lane of the court-house of
their respective counties and cities, and in all other respects the
further execution of said law shall be postponed for thirty
days from the date of the passage of this resolution.
2. This resolution shall be in force from its passage.
