Chap. 6.—An ACT to extend the time for the construction of the Nor-
folk and Cincinnati Railroad.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section third of an act entitled an act to prescribe the manner
in which the Norfolk and Cincinnati railroad company shall
ay its tax on its mortgage to secure bonds hereafter to be
issued, and to enlarge the powers of said Norfolk and Cincin-
nati railroad company, approved December twenty-first, eighteen
hundred and eighty-three, be and the same is hereby amended
and re-enacted, so as to read as follows—to-wit:
§ 3. The franchises conferred by this act, and the acts to
which this is a supplement, are hereby granted and confirmed
unto said company, on condition that the work of actually con-
structing its road be commenced within two years and com-
pleted within six years from the first day of March, eighteen
undred and eighty-six.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
