CHAP. 334.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. R. W. Davidson, of Floyd
county.
Approved March 1, 1886.
Whereas, Mrs. R. W. Davidson, of the county of Floyd,
was conducting a mercantile business in the county of Patrick,
in the year eighteen hundred and eighty-two and eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-three, and was regularly assessed with mer-
chants’ license by the commissioner of the revenue of Patrick
county, and paid the same, as shown by the receipt of the col-
lecting officer, but in consequence of the collecting officer, to
whom the payment was made, failing to make return of said
payment according to law, the said R. W. Davidson was
indicted in the county court of the said county of Patrick, for
the offence of conducting a mercantile -business contrary to
law, and fined by said court the sum of thirty dollars, which
she has also paid, as shown by the receipt of the sheriff of
Floyd county; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and required
to issue his warrant on the treasury, in favor of the said R. W.
Davidson, for the sum of thirty dollars, payable out of any mo-
ney in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
