Chap. 285.—An ACT to provide compensation to John M. Forbes
and M. Boswell Seawell, for certain professional services rendered
by them, respectively, in behalf of the commonwealth.

Approved March 1, 1886.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That.
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrants upon the treasurer of the
commonwealth, requiring him to pay, out of any moneys of the
state not otherwise appropriated, to John M. Forbes, of Fau-
quier county, the sum of one thousand dollars, and to M.
Boswell Seawell, of Gloucester county, the like sum of one
thousand dollars, which shall be in full satisfaction of their com-
pensation for professional services rendered by them, respect-
ively, as attorneys in behalf of the state in matters and suits
between the state of Virginia and Bradley T. Johnson and
Neilson Poe and John P. Poe.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage. ¢
