Chap. 22.—An ACT to incorporate the Montgomery Intelligence Com-
pany.
Approved January 16, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
George G. Junkin, Harvey D. Walters, Robert T. Ellett, Ander-
son Keister, and Elisha Johnson, of Montgomery county; Wil-
liam Pendleton and Zach. T. Dobyns, of Floyd county; and
Linwood Bell, of Pulaski county, and such other persons ‘as are
now or may become associated with them, and their successors, be
and they are hereby created a perpetual corporation, to be
known as the Montgomery Intelligence Company, with authority
to acquire, erect, and maintain telephone lines and offices in the
counties of Craig, Roanoke, Franklin, Henry, and the counties
west of those named..
2. The capital stock of said company shall be not less than
fifty nor more than one thousand shares, of par value of twenty
dollars each.
3. The officers shall be a president, not less than three di-
rectors, and such others as the company may create. |
4. The said company may erect its lines along the public
highways, but shall not obstruct the same.
d. This act shall be in force from its passage.
