Chap. 2.—An ACT to empower the board of supervisors of Hanover
county to give additional compensation to Judge J. D. Foster.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Hanover county be, and they are
hereby authorized to make out of their county treasury such
additional compensation as they may deem proper to Judge J.
D. Foster, for holding the courts of said county under the des-
ignation of the governor: provided that the whole amount paid
him for holding such courts shall not exceed the salary, as now
fixed, of the county judge of Hanover for an equal period to
that in which he has or may act as judge of said county. —

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
