Chap. 175.—HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION to repair the executive
mansion, and appropriating money therefor.

Be it resolved by the house of delegates, the Senate concur-
ring, That the superintendent of public buildings be directed
to proceed at once to repair and refurnish the governor’s man-
sion and premises, under the supervision of the committee of
the house of delegates on public property; and he is hereby
authorized to draw upon the state treasury fpr the expenses
thereof, not to exceed five thousand dollars, and the sum of
five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
is hereby appropriated for that purpose, out of any moneys in
the treasury not otherwise appropriated. And the said super-
intendent of public buildings is hereby directed to make sale
publicly, after reasonable notice, such old furniture, carpets,
&c., as he may deem proper, now in said mansion and on said
premises, to the highest bidder for cash, and to deposit the
proceeds in the state treasury. )
This-resolution shall be in force from its passage.
