Chap. 170.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section four of an act
entitled an act extending the charter of the Franklin Society and
Library Company of Lexington. "

Approved February 19, 1886.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the fourth section of the act approved February twenty-second,
eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled an act extending the
charter of the Franklin Society and Library Company of Lex-
ington, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows,
viz:

$4. This act shall be in force from and after its acceptance
by a majority of all the shareholders of said society, entered
of record at a general or extra meeting, and shall continue in
force until three-fourths of the shareholders shall, at a general
or extra meeting, enter of record their consent to the dissolu-
tion of the society.
