CHAP. 112.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 7 of chapter 42g
of the Acts of 1883-’84, in force March 14, 1884, in relation to the
office of commissioner of agriculture.
Approved February 12, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section seven of chapter four hundred and twenty-three of the
Acts of eighteen hundred:and eighty-three and, eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-four, in force March fourteenth, eighteen hur-
dred and eighty-four, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
87. That the office of said commissioner shall continue for
two years, beginning on the second day of January, eighteen
hundred and eighty-six, and he shall perform the duties of the
same for said length of time, and until his successor is duly
elected and qualified, unless removed in the manner now pre-
scribed by law for the removal of officers of the state govern-
ment.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
