Chap. 6.—JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the treasurer and second
auditor to provide further safeguards for their respective offices.

1. Resolved (the senate concurring), That in order to the
better safe-keeping of the bonds, stocks, and other valuable
papers that have been or may be from time to time deposited
in the office of the treasurer and second auditor, the treasurer
is authorized to draw on the auditor of public accounts for
the sum of sixty dollars, or such part thereof as he may re-
quire, and the second auditor is authorized to draw on the
auditor of public accounts for the sum of one hundred and
seventy-five dollars, or such part thereof as he may require,
for the purchase of iron wire netting to secure the windows
of the treasurer’s and second auditor’s offices respectively,
and for the purchase of the same material with brass locks
and night latches, with centre-bars and braces to suit, to
secure the office of the second auditor from the front door to
the opening between the counter and the west wall.
2. This joint resolution shall go into effect from and after
its passage.
