Chap. 52.—An ACT to provide for the display of Virginia’s resources
in World’s Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition at New
Orleans.
Approved November 18, 1884.
1. Beit enactel by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of four thousand dollars be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of the treasury of the commonwealth, for
the purpose of making acollective state exhibit of the various
resources of the state of Virginia, at the exposition to be
opened at New Orleans, December first, eighteen hundred
and eighty-four.
2. The auditor of public accounts is hereby directed to pay
the said amount of four thousand dollars out of any moneys
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, on the warrant
of the treasurer of the state board of control in the New
Orleans exposition, countersigned by the governor of Virginia;
the same to be expended strictly in accordance with the
objects set forth above, and all of said appropriation not so
expended, shall be covered back into the treasury.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
