Chap. 175.—An ACT to furnish artificial limbs to soldiers who have
lost them during the late war.
Approved December 1, 1884.
Whereas there are several hundred artificial legs and arms,
the property of the state, now stored in this city, which have
been returned by disabled soldiers who were unable to use
them, and are now going to destruction from natural decay;
therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be authorized to issue said
artificial limbs to such citizens of this state who have lost a
limb in consequence of wounds received in the late war, or of
disease contracted therein, and who may apply therefor.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
