Chap. 564.—An ACT authorizing the Board of Supervisors of the
county of Norfolk to levy a tax of ten cents on every hundred dollars
valuation of real and personal property for road purposes.
Approved March 19, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the board of supervisors of the county
of Norfolk to levy an annual tax of ten cents on every one
hundred dollars valuation of real and personal property, to
be set aside for road purposes, to be paid out in warrants on
the county treasurer to the various road overseers, at the
discretion of the said board of supervisors: provided that
this act shall not be in force after the general road law, passed
by the general assembly during the session of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-three and ecighten hundred and eighty-four
has been adopted by said board of supervisors.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
