Chap. 547.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of Lebanon Church, in
the county of Campbell, to sell the same, and invest the proceeds as
may be directed by the Methodist Quarterly Conference.
Approved March 19, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section one of an act approved February fourteen, eighteen
hundred and eighty-two, entitled an act to authorize the
trustees of Lebanon church, in the county of Campbell, to
sell and convey certain real estate, and invest the proceeds,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the trustees of Lebanon church, belong-
ing to the Methodist Protestant church, in the county of
Campbell, to sell the said church, and convey the title of the
same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, the proceeds of
sale to be applied to the building or repairing a church in
said county, at such place as may be directed by the quar-
terly conference of said Methodist Protestant church: pro-
vided that the purchaser or purchasers, shall not be required
to see to the application of the purchase money paid for said
property.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
