Chap. 496.—An ACT to provide a new registration of voters, at New
Design Precinet, Pittsylvania county, Virginia.
Approved March 17, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the registrar at New Design precinct, Pittsylvania county,
be authorized and directed to make a new registration of the
qualified voters residing within the bounds of said precinct ;
and for the purpose shall sit for a period of six days, begin-
ning on Monday, the fifth day of May, eighteen hundred and
eighty- four; and said registrar shall give notice for at least
ten days, by printed hand. bills, posted at ten places in said
precinct, of said registration.
2. Said registration shall supercede the present registra-
tion of voters at said precinct, and the registrar is directed to
destroy the registration books now in use at said precinct.
3. The secretary of the commonwealth shall furnish the
clerk of the county court at Pittsylvania, with suitable books
to carry out the provisions of this act.
4, This act shall be in force from its passage.
