Chap. 435.—An ACT for the relief of William M. Tredway.
Approved March 15, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and ho is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrant in favor of William M.
Tredway, for the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dol-
lars, payable out of any money in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated, it being a compensation for services rendered
by him as counsel, at the instance and request of the gover-
nor, in the mandamus proceedings to compel the authorities
of the United States to return to the state officials, the
bodies of Burwell Reynolds and Lee Reynolds, then under
indictment in the state court for murder, and for personal
expenses incurred by said William M. Tredway in attending
to the same, and proper to be compensated from the state
treasury.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
