Chap. 347.—An ACT to direct the Board of Education to place upon
the list of Books prescribed for use in the Public Schools, the two
works of J. Esten Cooke, entitled, respectively, ‘ Virginia: a History
of Her People,” and ‘ Stories of the Old Dominion.’”

Approved March 8, 1884.

1. Beit enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That
the board of education be, and it is hereby directed to place
upon the list of books prescribed for use in the punie schools
in this commonwealth, the two works of John Esten Cooke,
entitled, respectively, “ Virginia: a History of Her People,”
and “Stories of the Old Dominion.”

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
