Chap. 319.—An ACT for the relief of Charles W. and Jacob Harris.
Approved March 7, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby required
to accept, within twelve months after the passage of this act,
from Charles W. Harris and Jacob Harris three per centum
bonds of the state of Virginia, issued under the act of assem-
bly approved February fourteen, eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, entitled an act to ascertain and declare Virginia's
equitable share of the debt created before and actually exist-
ing at the time of the partition of her territory and resources,
and to provide for the issuance of bonds covering the same,
and the regular and prompt payment of interest thereon, at
their par value, in payment of a judgement obtained by the
commonwealth against them on the nineteenth day of Octo-
ber, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, in the county court
of Scott county, as sureties for Lilburn Harris in a forfeited
recognizunce, and the said bonds shall be paid into the treas-
ury and disposed of as required by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
