Chap. 301.—An ACT to limit proceedings for the enforcement of judg-
ments in favor of the commonwealth upon official bonds executed
prior to July 1, 1870, by public officers charged with the collection of
revenue.
In force March 7, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
after the lapse of ten years from the date of any judgment
heretofore or hereafter rendered in favor of and for the bene-
fit of the commonwealth upon any official bond which was
executed prior to the first day of July, eighteen hundred and
seventy. by any public officer whose duty it was to collect
the state and county revenue in any county in the state, no
procecding shall be had or taken at law or in equity to enforce
such judgment; and that from and after first day of January,
eigbteen hundred and eighty-five, all acts and parts of acts in
conflict with this act are hereby repealed.
2. This act shall be in force trom and after the first day of
January, eighteen hundred and eighty-five.
