Chap. 264.—An ACT to authorized the Board of Supervisors of Pulaski
county to levy a tax on persunal property and real estate for the pur-
pose of building and constructing a macadamized road from the town
of Dublin, to where the Pulaski and Giles turnpike intersects the pre-
sent macadamized road near the town of Newbern.
Approved March 4, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Pulaski county, be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to levy tax on personal
property and real estate upon which state and county taxes
are levied, for the purpose of building and constructing a
macadamized road from the town of ‘Dublin, to where the
Pulaski and Giles turnpike intersects the present macada-
mized road near the town of Newbern, said levies to be col-
lected and accounted for by the county treasurer as other
taxes are collected and accounted for.
2. As soon as the said board shall determine upon the
building and construction of said road, and shall have made
the levy as aforesaid, the county court of said county shall
order the contracts for the building of the same according to
the law now in force for the building and construction of
new roads.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
