Chap. 195.—An ACT to abolish the office of General Agent and Store-
keeper of the Penitentiary.

Approved February 26, 1884.

. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the office of gencral agent and store-keeper of the peniten-
tiary, be and the same is hereby abolished.

2. That the duties heretofore performed by the general
agent and store-keeper of the penitentiary, shall be hereafter
performed by the superintendent of the said institution, under
the direction and control of the board of directors thereof,
who shall receive no additional compensation for said service,
to that received by him as superintendent.

3. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, are
hereby repealed.
